A Better World For All

In June 2000, the IMF, OECD, United Nations, and World Bank jointly produced a publication entitled "A Better World For All: Progress towards the international development goals." The report urges developing and industrialized countries to work to foster sustainable growth that favours the poor and provide more resources for health, education, gender equality, and environmentally sustainable development worldwide. The report focuses on seven interrelated development goals, which would eventually evolve into the Millennium Development Goals.
