The Expert Reference Meeting, organised by PARIS21 with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), will discuss the main findings of a study to identify potential alternative sources of labour market data such as big data and administrative data. The meeting will bring together international experts and partners from German development cooperation, development banks, country representatives and the private sector with experience in labour markets, employment, job matching platforms and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Specifically, the meeting will:

• Identify and discuss alternative data sources for (1) labour market assessment (on a micro level); (2) Digital TVET Tender (identification of practical qualification opportunities within infrastructure projects and demand- driven TVET)

• Foster mutual learning from similar initiatives and provide recommendations for the development of the digital data component enabling the BMZ Digital TVET Tender Initiative.

• Mainstream the approach of Digital TVET Tender and the use of alternative labour market data sources.
