PARIS21 organised a three-day Leadership Training for Central and Indian Ocean Francophone African National Statistics Offices from 14-16 November 2017 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The training targeted Heads of NSOs from 9 countries namely Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Djibouti, DRC, Gabon, Madagascar, and Sao Tome & Principe. The training aimed at equipping the Heads of statistics with the necessary leadership and change management skills necessary to better respond to the emerging needs of the 2030 Agenda. For the first time, a module on media training was added, to help NSO Heads better communicating their work with the press.
