On Wednesday, 10 October 2018, the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) 2018-2020 of Guinea-Bissau was validated during a workshop chaired by Dr. Humiliano Alves Cardoso, Secretary of State for Planning and Regional Integration, representing the Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance.

The workshop hosted around 100 participants from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), sector statistical services, Technical and Financial Partners, the private sector, universities and civil society.

The development of Guinea-Bissau's NSDS 2018-2020 benefited from the technical and financial support of PARIS21 and AFRISTAT.
