In collaboration with CARICOM and SPC, PARIS21 organised an official side event at the 2009 UNSC meeting. The event -- "Meeting on Strategic Statistical Planning for Small Island Developing States" -- was held on 21 February 2009 in New York.

The meeting enabled small island countries to share experiences across regions and consider guidance tailored to their unique situations and proposed collaboration in support their strategic planning efforts.
