Evaluation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) of Cabo Verde

22-27 May 2016

From 22 to 27 May 2016, PARIS21 reviewed the NSDS 2012-2016 of Cabo Verde, jointly with AFRISTAT, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and the National Statistical Institute of Cote d’Ivoire. The mission welcomed the very good realisation rate of the ntaional strategy, and showcased the significant progress over the last few years concerning data production, analysis, dissemination and communication. Going forward, the mission recommended that Cabo Verde

  • operationalise their National Statistical council
  • elaborate the next NSDS 2017-2021 and harmonise with the national development plan process
  • continue reinforcing statistical training in line Ministries

The final evaluation report is currently being prepared.
